Session fee of $250 includes $175 print credit and is due in full on day of session.
Event session $325 a first birthday celebration, or any other milestone you would like photographed. I will come early and capture the details and do a few portraits of the star. I'll be there for the party documenting the event in a journalistic style. We will meet a few weeks later so that you can choose your favorites to be used to create a custom hardbound, 8x8 keepsake book.
How do you handle that challenging age of 2-3? aahhh... the moving target age. Very challenging, but I'm up for that challenge. Photographing children at this age means being flexible, shooting in a more journalistic fashion (because for the most part they will not sit still) stopping a lot to play, eat snacks, watch kid video songs on my iphone. On occasion a parent will leave a session with low expectations because of a cranky uncooperative kid. They are usually pleasantly surprised when I show them the images, however on that rare occasion when it just is not happening, we reschedule and try again on another day. Some tips: bring their favorite toys and some healthy snacks (candy usually works against us, unless we pull out a lollipop near the end) don't bribe them with it though, it's all they will think/talk about during the session. Sometimes I'll ask the parents to wait in the other room, it will give me a chance to get better eye contact with your child and often times they are more cooperative when mom and dad are not present. Please bring as few people as possible to the shoot, if grandma and dad and uncle Bob are all hovering behind me, we'll end up with a lot of pictures of your child gazing up, over, and away. One on one is my favorite way to shoot and usually results in the best images, however, this does not work for every age so I may need you right beside me singing "wheels on the bus"....
